Across the street from Central High School stands an old Mobil station that hasn't changed since 1957. Preserved as a historical site, the Mobil station was where reporters congregated next to the pay phone and broadcast the struggle at Central High nationally and around the world.
The price of a gallon of gas? 22 cents.
